How long is our session?
Newborn sessions generally take around 3 hours, sometimes less, sometimes more depending on your little one! Family sessions are a minimum of 30 minutes and will go longer as your kiddos allow. Grow With Me sessions (4, 8, 12 months) typically last around 30 minutes.
How many photos will we get?
Each session receives a minimum of 15 digital files but most sessions typically receive between 20 and 25 images via digital download.
When will we get our photos?
Post-processing time takes up to two weeks depending on workload. Normally it’s under a week!

When should we schedule our session? How soon should we schedule?
Newborn sessions are typically scheduled at least 3-4 months before your due date! Depending on when babies are born though I may have last minute openings so if your baby has already arrived don’t hesitate to reach out! Since newborns take priority in my calendar, I also recommend scheduling family sessions and Grow With Me sessions a couple months in advance. I schedule newborn sessions at 9 a.m. during various days of the week and weekend, depending on your schedule. If you absolutely need a weekend, please let me know that when you book your newborn session. Specific date is booked once baby has arrived and you’ve contacted me to let me know. Please don’t wait until your baby is a week old to schedule your session, let me know as soon as possible! Plus, I love seeing those cute little squish pictures when you announce your little ones arrival.
Where should we print our photos?
I offer professional quality prints and canvases. If you choose to print on your own, I cannot guarantee color and quality. Mpix.com typically has the most accurate color representation but again, I can’t promise perfection from a non-professional lab!
What do we wear?
Check out this page for more information on what to wear for family sessions. For newborn sessions I recommend soft neutral colored, non-fussy tops. We will discuss this further once your session is booked!
Where is your studio located?
I have a home studio off of Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick, Maryland!
Do you have props? What should we bring to our newborn session?
I provide full styling for your newborn session and beyond. Any studio sessions including Grow With Me (up to 1 year) all props are provided. All you need to bring is your baby, yourself, and your diaper bag!
Can I bring an outfit or this thing my husband’s neighbor’s great-grandma crocheted?
We can attempt to grab a quick shot with this item, but let’s be careful if you choose to bring an item of significance that could date your photos. We are aiming for timeless and classic photography so your child will be proud to share his/her newborn images with their children and grandchildren.
What locations do you use for family sessions?
I have several locations I use within 20 minutes of Frederick, MD that we can discuss once your session is booked. I am willing to travel outside that 20 mile radius for an additional travel fee.
